Which Brand's Back-to-school 2025 Campaign Is Your Favorite?
As August comes to a close, brands want to help families shift from summer to back-to-school routines. Here's how four brands are helping to make the transition a little less stressful for students and teachers.
Great ClipsSalon brand Great Clips is launching a search for a Chief Back-to-School Officer, where one standout student will receive $10,000 for an education fund and free haircuts for the school year from Great Clips. The selected child must be between the ages of 5 and 14.
The brand is encouraging parents to submit a story at GreatClips.Com/BacktoSchool that highlights how their child "brought calm, creativity or clever solutions to the chaos of back-to-school season," according to a Great Clips statement. Parents will also receive a $2 off coupon after submitting their child's application to save on back-to-school haircuts. The winner of the contest will be announced at the end of September.
Additionally, Great Clips enlisted TikTok stars A.J. And Big Justice Befumo to "bring the boom" and share how families can get back-to-school ready by visiting their local Great Clips. They are also showcasing ways to make the haircut experience easier and more convenient by checking in on the Great Clips app.
As part of this campaign, the brand also partnered with several influencer families including The McCartys, The Younes Family, Brielle Cherie, Jenelle Nicole, Joanna + Ellis and Callie Miller to showcase the benefits of going to Great Clips.

In partnership with Crayola, the snack brand's campaign includes limited-edition interactive packaging that invites families to nominate teachers who have made a difference in their lives for a Thank You Teacher Sweepstakes.
As part of the sweepstakes, 250 nominated teachers will win gift cards to stock up on "curiosity-sparking" classroom essentials and one grand prize winner's school will be awarded a $10,000 classroom makeover and supply of Crayola products to better fuel creativity for school years to come, according to a statement from the brands.
The boxes of Welch's Fruit Snacks feature fruit-themed line art ready to be colored with Crayola crayons, markers or colored pencils, plus a special side panel where families can write a personal note or drawing to a favorite teacher.
Command BrandNot forgetting the back-to-college crowd, Command Brand, known for its adhesive hooks and strips, wants to to help students decorate their dorm rooms. Command created Sticking With Style, an original podcast episode hosted by DIY expert and interior decorator Tay Nakamoto. The episode also features special guests and co-hosts of The Burnouts, Phoebe Gates and Sophia Kianni.
Sticking With Style is available to stream now on Command Brand's YouTube channel (@command), Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
JanSportBackpack brand JanSport took a humorous approach to its back-to-school campaign, Always With You. The brand's campaign spots turn JanSport backpacks into "a singing, deadpan antihero belting pocket-mouth ballads about the everyday chaos associated with always being by your side," according to a statement from the brand.
The campaign is running nationally with a heavy emphasis on TikTok, YouTube and short-form video to reach Gen Zers.

NFL's Kirk Cousins Brings Photo Of Himself To Great Clips For Haircut
Kirk Cousins might be one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in NFL history, but he still feels right at home in a strip mall hair salon.
Cousins, 36, who has made nearly $300 million over the course of his 13-year NFL career, gushed about his appreciation of discount chain Great Clips on season two of Netflix's docuseries Quarterback, which premiered on Tuesday, July 8.
"I go to one place, and that's Great Clips," the Atlanta Falcons quarterback explained about his haircut routine. "I can go on the app. I can see what the wait is. If the wait time is under 15 minutes, I just sign up."
Cousins continued, "I can just drive there, walk right in and get right in the chair."
When a professional athlete changes teams, it can lead to massive upheaval for the entire family — just ask Kirk Cousins. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Cousins, 36, detailed the life-altering summer he, his wife, Julie, and their sons, Cooper, 6, and Turner, 5, have experienced after the quarterback signed with the Atlanta […]
The former Michigan State star also comes to each Great Clips appointment equipped with an example of what he'd like his finished product to look like: his own headshot.
"Now I start just holding up a picture," Cousins said. "I took a picture from one of the headshots from a Falcons game program and I just say, 'Can you do this?' That usually helps eliminate any gray area."

Michael Owens/Getty ImagesDuring the fifth episode of Quarterback's season two, Cousins can be seen telling his hairstylist, "I've been trusting Great Clips for a long time. I kind of live all over the country. I just kind of Google the nearest Great Clips and make it work. It's hard to have a go-to barber when you're always on the go."
Cousins — who was born in Michigan and played in the NFL for the Washington Commanders and Minnesota Vikings before signing with the Falcons in March 2024 — said being a Great Clips loyalist provides his life with a bit of thrill and danger.
Travis Kelce is a self-proclaimed "furry son of a bitch," and Atlanta Falcons star Kirk Cousins is amazed that Taylor Swift can tolerate it. The veteran quarterback weighed in on the shirtless photos of Swift's boyfriend that recently made the rounds on the internet. In them, Kelce's copious back hair is fully visible. "God bless […]
"The biggest challenge is when you don't have the same person," he explained in a confessional. "So like Great Clips in Inver Grove, Minnesota, Great Clips in Holland, Michigan, Great Clips in Suwanee, Georgia. You just don't know what you're going to get."
Thank You!You have successfully subscribed.
As Cousins further explained to his hairstylist, "When you keep changing who cuts your hair, it's a bit of a rush because you don't quite know what you're gonna get."
He added, "Everybody needs a little rush in their lives. I get mine when I go to Great Clips to get my hair cut."
All seven episodes of Quarterback season two are available to stream now.
