A man was shot Friday during an armed robbery at an auto repair shop in Durham.
Around 2 a.M., officers with the Durham Police Department responded to a shooting at the Mavis Tires and Brakes in the 2700 block of Hillsborough Road.
Officers found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot injuries at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital.
Several hours later, three police cars were still at the scene, and the officers appeared to focus their investigation on the business's office area.
Crime scene tape surrounded the car garage, and forensics teams were on scene.
WRAL News is working to learn if anyone was injured and if arrests were made.

Report: Joe Gibbs Racing Closing On Big Deal With Denny Hamlin
Denny Hamlin could receive a significant new sponsor for his Toyota vehicle.
The Joe Gibbs Racing driver landed partnerships with Yahoo and National Debt Relief after losing FedEx and Mavis Tires. Hamlin's team may get another corporate boost.
According to Sports Business Journal's Adam Stern, Progressive wants to expand its advertising presence with NASCAR. Already one of NASCAR's largest spenders, the Ohio-based insurance company wants to add a team to its repertoire.
Progressive's interest could benefit Hamlin.
"Sources have pegged Joe Gibbs Racing as the favorite to land Progressive's business," Stern wrote. "The team's No. 11 Toyota driven by Denny Hamlin has had a significant amount of inventory to fill with the loss of FedEx and Mavis Tires & Brakes over the offseason."
After all, Hamlin can't always count on filling his pockets with pre-race casino trips.
Last weekend's visit to Las Vegas proved profitable for Hamlin, who struck a $126,000 jackpot on a slot machine. He scored two more major wins totaling approximately $150,000 on Saturday night.
"That's the first time I played slots," Hamlin told reporters on Saturday. "My buddy plays them all the time. He gave up his hot seat for me, and it worked out well."
However, Hamlin appeared to use up his luck before the Pennzoil 400. He finished 25th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway,
While Hamlin placed second behind Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Christopher Bell at Phoenix, he's finished outside the top 20 in three of five races to start the 2025 season. The 44-year-old is 13th in the Cup Series standings with 122 points.
A year ago from Monday, Hamlin scored his first of three 2024 victories in a seven-week window. Yet he hasn't reached the winner's circle since April 28.
Perhaps Hamlin will receive more good fortune off the track in the form of a prominent new sponsor. He'll look to rebound Sunday afternoon at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
