Chipotle Giving Out 50,000 Free Entrees -- Here's How You Can Win

On Tuesday, Chipotle announced it will reward up to 50,000 free entrees to people watching the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Here's how it works:

  • When something "extra" happens during the 2025 Super Bowl, Chipotle will post a "text-to-claim" code on its X account (@chipotletweets) and a story on Instagram (@chipotle). Chipotle ultimately decides what an "extra" event is, but some examples could include "the team on offense successfully kicks an extra point" or "the team on offense scores a two-point conversion."

  • The first fans to text the posted code to "888-222″ will receive a free entree code from Chipotle. People can text the code up to the maximum number, as determined by the post.

    • The company also announced, "Extra Sunday." On Monday, Feb. 10, Chipotle Rewards Members can get a free Guac and Queso Blanco offer when purchasing any entree on the Chipotle app or on Chipotle.Com with the promo code "EXTRA25."

    Chipotle Mexican Grill is doing its part to soften the blow brought on by the day after the Super Bowl.

    The fast casual chain specializing in bowls, tacos, and Mission burritos announced this week that it has created a new holiday called "Extra Sunday" in which it will reward up to 50,000 free entrees to fans watching the Super Bowl

    On Monday, Feb. 10, Chipotle Rewards members can also score a free Guac and Queso Blanco with the purchase of any entrée, available exclusively on the Chipotle app and Chipotle.Com with promo code "EXTRA25."2

    "Football's most watched game is the perfect stage for over-the-top moments, and we're here to make it even more extra with free Chipotle," said Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer, Chipotle. "We're giving fans something to celebrate when the game is over – free Guac and Queso Blanco – on 'Extra Sunday.'"

    In 2024, an estimated 16.1 million U.S. Employees planned to miss work the day following the Super Bowl, taking it upon themselves to create an unofficial holiday.

    Here is how football fans can score a free entrée:

    NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Chipotle announced this week that it will give out free entrées, as well as free guacamole and queso blanco, during and after the upcoming Super Bowl 59. 

    The chain said the free entrées are in celebration of "all things extra," and it dubbed the Monday after the big game as a holiday called "Extra Sunday" – a nod to football fans' desire to have the day after the Super Bowl off work.
